(LiveMint) SAIL Chairman Anil Kumar Chaudhary has resumed office after he tested negative for COVID-19 virus, an official said. Chaudhary had gone into a three-week institutional quarantine after he tested positive for coronavirus. “Our chairman has tested negative in the test conducted after his three-week quarantine. He has joined his office also. He joined some time back,” the official said. The official also informed that no fresh cases have been reported in SAIL office at Lodhi Road since mid-June. (Tribune) Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the strategically important Atal Tunnel on the Manali-Leh highway in the first week of September. He visited the tunnel site to review its progress. The 8.8-km-long horseshoe-shaped tunnel is being built beneath the Rohtang Pass, which will provide all-weather connectivity to Lahaul from Manali. (MC) Crude prices fell on Friday as the resurgence of the coronavirus globally and in the United States, the world’s largest oil consumer, dimmed the prospects of fuel demand recovery.Brent crude futures were down 37 cents, or 0.9%, at $42.77 a barrel as of 0042 GMT, and U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures fell 34 cents, or 0.8%, to $40.31 a barrel.
