(LiveMint) State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC) is likely to acquire the central government’s majority stake in refiner Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd (HPCL) by the end of this financial year, but will initially keep the company as a separate unit, two persons familiar with the development said on condition of anonymity. (BS) State run gas company GAIL (India) Ltd has proposed to invest Rs 4,276 crore in Odisha to improve supply of natural gas in the state’s major industrial hubs, besides enhancing the gas distribution network in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. GAIL has committed to an investment of Rs 1,750 crore to build the city gas distribution (CGD) network in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. (AU) जम्मू-कश्मीर में सोपोर के नाथी पोरा इलाके में गुरुवार सुबह को सुरक्षाबल के जवानों ने मुठभेड़ में दो आतंकियों को ढेर कर दिया। बताया जा रहा है कि दोनों आतंकी नाथी पोरा के एक घर में छुपे हुए थे।एक पुलिस अधिकारी ने बताया कि सुबह करीब 3:30 बजे नाथी पोरा इलाके में आतंकवादियों की मौजूदगी के बारे में जानकारी मिलने के बाद सुरक्षाबल ने घेराबंदी कर सर्च ऑपरेशन चलाया। उन्होंने कहा, सर्च ऑपरेशन के दौरान आतंकवादियों ने सुरक्षाबल के जवानों पर गोलीबारी की। पुलिस अधिकारी का कहना है कि अब तक कोई जवान हताहत नहीं हुआ है।
