(LiveMint) In a big boost to EVs in India, Essel Infraprojects (EIL), Essel Group has launched its electric vehicles charging stations and battery swapping technology initiative under Essel Green Mobility Limited in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. This new EV project will see an investment of Rs 1750 crore in a phased manner with a plan to launch 250 charging station and 1000 battery swapping stations in 20 UP cities. (ET) The NITI Aayog has proposed a common nodal energy ministry on the lines of the model followed in various other countries to streamline governance among different ministries and departments pertaining to the crucial sector and speed up decision-making.
