(LiveMint) Eight years after they partnered to produce hydrocarbons in India, Reliance Industries Ltd and British oil major BP Plc have come together again to open a nationwide network of fuel retailing outlets. The outlets will be set up through a new joint venture company that will be owned 51% by RIL and the remainder by BP, according to a joint statement issued by the companies. (FE) Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has extended the deadline to August 20 for submission of expressions of interest (EoIs) from potential bidders for outright sale of its three loss-making units — Alloy Steel Plant (ASP), Salem Steel Plant (SSP) and Visvesaraya Iron and Steel Plant (VISP). (DNA) Competition Commission of India (CCI) has dismissed a complaint against Oil & Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) which alleged the state-owned oil explorer of abusing its dominant position in relation to certain contractual provisions while hiring of offshore support vessels. An investigation was initiated by CCI against the company in June last year based on the complaint filed by Indian National Shipowners’ Association (INSA), a lobby group of shipowners.
