(PTI) State-owned engineering firm BHEL on Wednesday said it has won an order from the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL). It has bagged the order for supply of 32 Reactor Header Assemblies to NPCIL, a company statement said. The order has been won under NPCIL’s Fleet Mode Procurement for India’s highest rated indigenously-developed 700 MWe Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors (PHWR) to be set up at four different locations in the country, BHEL said. Significantly, this is the first equipment order placed by NPCIL under the Fleet Mode Procurement programme and will give an impetus to domestic manufacturing, it said. (ET) Adani Green Energy’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Adani Solar Energy Kutchh Two, has commissioned a 100-megawatt (MW) solar power project at Khirsara in Gujarat. With this, the Gautam Adani-led firm’s total operational renewable capacity reached 2,950 MW with a compound annual growth rate of 55 per cent since March 2016, the company said in a statement. The subsidiary has a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam India at Rs 2.44 per unit price.

(ET) A rather stable phase of oil prices is expected to help the government make big cuts in the oil subsidy allocation in next year’s budget. Sources said that the maths being worked out by the Finance Ministry ahead of the presentation of Budget 2021-22 in February next year could see petroleum subsidy burden falling by more than half from the FY21 levels of Rs 40,915 crore. A major saving on the subsidy is expected to come from reduced government support for domestic LPG cylinders.
