A prompt action by ONGC and Coast Guard averted a possible disaster relating to an empty LNG Tanker ‘Gas Yodla’ on the Arabian Sea on 24 July 2021. At 6:35PM on that day, the LNG tanker re-ported engine failure and started drifting in the Sea, around 20 nautical miles (nm) from ONGC’s D1 field. The vessel is owned by M/s Shield Marine, headquartered at Dubai, UAE. In its effort to control the influx of tourists and prevent crowding, the Uttarakhand police sent back 8,000 vehicles on their way to Mussoorie and Nainital over the weekend, reported PTI. “After videos went viral of huge crowds bathing in Kempty falls, the Uttarakhand government has taken steps to control the number of tourists,” said Uttarakhand deputy inspector general of police (DIG) Nilesh Anand Bharane.

(PTI) The Maharashtra Government on Tuesday announced a new electric vehicles (EV) promotion policy which provides subsidies to buyers to drive up demand for EVs in the state. The Maharashtra EV Policy 2021 will provide incentives of Rs 5,000 per kilowatt-hour of battery capacity to buyers of all types of electric vehicles. The subsidy will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries within 30 days.
