Ltd (BPCL) has created a separate platform for its liquified petroleum gas (LPG) business that runs the Union government’s subsidized domestic cooking gas cylinder scheme, two people aware of the development said, in an attempt to enable its buyer to “ring fence” and operate the marquee scheme. (LiveMint) NTPC Ltd, India’s largest power generator, plans to partner with National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), the country’s quasi-sovereign wealth fund, and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to acquire and develop green energy assets, including offshore wind projects. The plans were contained in a letter to shareholders by NTPC chairman and managing director Gurdeep Singh in the company’s annual report for FY21. “Further, efforts are on for partnering with NIIF and ONGC for exploring opportunities in acquisitions and development of renewable assets, including offshore wind,” Singh said in his letter. An unprecedented 75,097-MW power plants are operating with coal stock of less than seven days, shows data available with the Central Electricity Authority (CEA). (ET) Oil marketing companies cut the prices of petrol and diesel on Tuesday, after holding them steady. While petrol prices cropped by 14-15 paise per litre, diesel became cheaper by 15-16 paise for a litre. This was the second reduction in fuel prices this week. On August 22, petrol price dropped 15 to 20 paise per litre across the country after 35 days.As per the latest revisions, a litre of petrol costs Rs 101.49 in the National Capital, while a litre of diesel will cost consumers Rs 88.92.
