(ET) In a bid to help the state maintain power supply in the scorching heat, the railway board has cancelled eight express trains in UP till further notice to provide hassle free passage to coal laden freight trains for thermal power stations. The move came after consulting the UP government, which has recorded a steep surge in power demand amid rising mercury. (DJ) देश में कोरोना के नए मामलों (Corona Cases in India) ने तीन हजार का आंकड़ा पार कर लिया है। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने गुरुवार को कोरोना को लेकर अपडेट जारी किया है। रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, देश में बीते 24 घंटे में कोरोना संक्रमण के तीन हजार से ज्यादा मामले सामने आए हैं। गुरुवार को कोरोना के 3,303 नए मामले दर्ज किए गए हैं। वहीं, इस दौरान 2,563 ठीक हो गए हैं। मंत्रालय ने बताया कि कोरोना से बीते 24 घंटे में 39 लोगों की मौत भी हुई है। इसके साथ ही मृतकों की संख्या बढ़कर 5,23,693 हो गई है। वहीं देश में…

Seven companies had put in 21 bids for city gas licences in five areas in states like Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Equinor ASA, the Norwegian state-owned multinational energy company. The MoU was inked on 26 April 2022 in Indian capital New Delhi for collaboration and partnership in areas of upstream Exploration & Production, midstream, downstream and Clean energy options, including Carbon Capture Utilization & Sequestration (CCUS).
