(PTI) President Droupadi Murmu reached Parliament House on Monday morning in a ceremonial procession to address the joint sitting of the two Houses ahead of the Budget Session. This will be President Murmu’s first address to the joint sitting of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha members after assuming office last July. Soon after taking oath, she delivered an acceptance speech in the Central Hall of Parliament.

Brent futures gained 30 cents, or 0.3%, to $87.66 a barrel by 0113 GMT, while U.S. crude rose 21 cents to $81.22 per barrel, a 0.3% gain. Both benchmarks had gained more than 1% on Thursday. The first G20 Infrastructure Working Group (IWG) meeting under G20 India Presidency will take place in Pune, Maharashtra on16th -17th January 2023. The meeting will be joined by the IWG member countries, guest countries and international organizations invited by India to discuss the 2023 Infrastructure Agenda under the Indian G20 Presidency. The Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India will host the two-day IWG meetings, along with Australia and Brazil as the co-chairs. (ET) India’s import of crude oil from Russia increased further in December 2022, topping 1 million barrels per day for the first time ever as Moscow remained its top oil supper for the third month in a row, according to data from energy cargo tracker Vortexa. Russia, which made up for just 0.2 per cent of all crude oil India imported in the year to March 31, 2022, supplied 1.19 million bpd in December.
