    Thakur’s Nod To Rs 50 cr Water Scheme For Mandi Village

    The government has sanctioned a major drinking water scheme worth Rs 50 crore for Balichowki to resolve the drinking water crisis, said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. Addressing people of Balichowki in Seraj through video conferencing from the Chief Minister’s Office in Shimla on Thursday, Thakur said a Rs 6 crore sericulture centre had also been sanctioned. Apart from this, Rs 6 crore had been approved for undertaking flood control measures.

    The Chief Minister said all link roads damaged due to heavy rain would be repaired at the earliest. Funds would be provided for construction of the Dhalot-Kangani road up to Thachi. The Sudhani-Thata-Gadagushaini road would also be constructed. On the demand of the local youths, he said a gymnasium would be constructed and efforts would be made to open an SBI branch at Balichowki. Funds would be provided for the construction of ayurvedic dispensary at Palai Dhar and mudrika bus would be plied in the area.
