Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s personal secretary V K Pandian was attacked with ink by a man on Saturday. Which Pandian forgave on Sunday (August 20). Pandian also asked the police not to arrest him. Bhaskar Sahu (38), a social worker from Kayas area, had thrown ink at Pandian when he had gone to the area to listen to people’s grievances.

“Sahu, who was detained, has been released by the police as secretary V K Pandian did not want to take any legal action against him. No case has been registered against Sahu on the instructions of the secretary. However, Sahu has realised the mistake.

    ‘I won’t apologize.’

Sahu said he has been raising his voice against various issues related to his area for some time now and had come to put forth his grievances before Pandian. “I repent for my illegal act. I should not have resorted to ink attack. I should have conveyed my grievances amicably. I apologize to the people, But I will not apologise to Pandian sir.’

‘No one paid money to throw the ink’

Sahu said he does not belong to any political party. “I don’t belong to any party nor did anyone give me money to throw ink on Pandian sir,” Sahu said. Pandian continued his official field tour without being affected by the ink attack incident and on Sunday. He also reviewed development works in Jharsuguda district. Pandian reviewed the progress of two mega lift irrigation projects being run in Lakhanpur block at a cost of Rs 113 crore.
