    Skill Development of Adolescent Girls Under NAVYA Initiative

    The State-wise number of adolescent girls enrolled and trained under the NAVYA (Nurturing Aspirations through Vocational Training for Young Adolescent Girls) initiative in aspirational districts across the country, as on 10.12.2025, is as under:

    Under the NAVYA initiative, two districts-Dahod and Narmada, in the State of Gujarat have been selected for the project implementation. In Narmada district, 113 adolescent girls have been enrolled, out of which 50 have been trained/oriented as on 10.12.2025. In Dahod district, commencement of training, including engagement of the training institutes and mobilization is underway.

    Under NAVYA initiative of PMKVY 4.0, training is primarily provided in non-traditional and modern job roles such as Digital Marketing, Cyber Security, AI-enabled services, Green Jobs, and other emerging sectors, Further, training in life skills, financial literacy, and digital competence is to be provided to equip them for both current and future workforce demands. This initiative will enhance employability, and socio-economic independence among girls.
