Rahul Gandhi has come into active mode as soon as his Parliament membership is restored. He will speak on behalf of the Congress in the Lok Sabha on the no-confidence motion on Tuesday (August 8). He will speak in the Lok Sabha at around 12 noon tomorrow. New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been reinstated as the Wayanad MP by the Lok Sabha Secretariat following a relief from the Supreme Court in the Modi alias defamation case. On August 4, the apex court had stayed Rahul Gandhi’s conviction in the defamation case, paving the way for his reinstatement as a Lok Sabha MP from Wayanad in Kerala. Rahul Gandhi also went to Parliament as soon as he got the membership of Parliament.

    When was he disqualified??

Rahul Gandhi was disqualified as a Lok Sabha MP on March 24. He was sentenced to two years in jail by a metropolitan court in Surat, Gujarat. On July 7, the Gujarat High Court dismissed his plea to stay the sentence, after which he approached the Supreme Court on July 15. On August 4, the Supreme Court had stayed Rahul’s sentence.

As a Member of Parliament, Rahul Gandhi will be able to attend the proceedings of Parliament from Tuesday and make his presence felt. After this decision of the Lok Sabha Secretariat, Congress workers have celebrated fiercely.
