Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India is a national government agency engaged in promoting energy efficiency in various sections of economy. Conservation of Petroleum Products and Environment Protection is an important national cause and PCRA takes this noble cause forward by conducting competitions for school children every year to inculcate the message of fuel conservation in the young minds and enhancing their knowledge on energy conservation.
National school winners of the competition-2017 were felicitated by Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State (I/C) MOP&NG in a grand function organised at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi. Minister gave away the awards which included Japan visit for children, laptops & cash prizes.This year, through its ongoing ‘Saksham National Competition- 2017’, PCRA plans to expand its reach on a much larger scale amongst students and schools of all education boards, with a target of reaching over one crore children.
