Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute appointment letters to over 51,000 youths on Monday as part of the ‘Rozgar Mela’, a drive to recruit 10 lakh personnel, on which the prime minister will also address them through video conferencing, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a statement on Sunday.

In this job fair, the Union Home Ministry is recruiting personnel in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) as well as Delhi Police.

Selected under the Union Home Ministry

The new personnel selected from across the country will join various posts such as constable (general duty), sub-inspector (general duty) and non-general duty cadre posts in various organisations under the Union Home Ministry.

It will help in combating terrorism.

The strengthening of the CAPFs as well as the Delhi Police will help these forces to perform their multi-faceted role more effectively such as assisting in internal security, counter-terrorism, countering insurgency, Left Wing Extremism and protecting the nation’s borders, the PMO said.

The PMO said that this job fair is an important step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to give top priority to employment generation. According to news agency PTI, he said that the job fair will provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.

What else did the PMO say??

According to the PMO, the newly recruited personnel will also get an opportunity to train themselves through the Karmayogi Commencement module. The Karmayogi Aarambh Module is an online preparatory course for all newly recruited personnel in various government departments. It includes code of conduct for government servants, ethics at workplace, integrity and human resource policies.
