Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth under the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela through video conferencing on Sunday. Addressing the appointees, he said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to empowering India’s youth and creating new employment opportunities across sectors.

The Prime Minister said the newly recruited candidates would contribute to nation-building through departments such as railways, banking, defence, health, and education. He highlighted that India’s rapid growth, technological advancement, and young demographic are attracting global attention and partnerships.

Referring to his recent diplomatic visit to five countries, PM Modi said several agreements in sectors like semiconductors, artificial intelligence, green energy, defence, critical minerals, and advanced manufacturing would create large-scale employment opportunities for Indian youth. He mentioned collaborations with countries including the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, the UAE, and Italy to strengthen India’s future industries.

The Prime Minister noted that sectors such as clean energy, green hydrogen, sustainable manufacturing, shipbuilding, and semiconductor production are opening the doors to a “new economy” for the country. He added that India’s semiconductor ecosystem is expanding rapidly, while investments in electronics manufacturing, logistics, aviation maintenance, and infrastructure are generating millions of jobs.

Highlighting development in rural India, PM Modi said improved roads, digital connectivity, electricity, and tap water access are transforming villages and helping farmers, students, and small traders access new opportunities.

He also stressed the importance of skill development, startups, and entrepreneurship, noting that India is now the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem. Urging the newly appointed employees to serve with empathy and dedication, the Prime Minister said a Viksit Bharat by 2047 would be built through the efforts of youth committed to national service.
