Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum  amp; Natural Gas, Government of India is a national government agency engaged in promoting energy efficiency in various sections of economy. Conservation of Petroleum Products and Environment Protection is an important national cause and PCRA takes this noble cause forward by conducting competitions for school children every year to inculcate the message of fuel conservation in the young minds and enhancing their knowledge on energy conservation. National school winners of the competition-2016 were felicitated by Sh. Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State (I/C) MOP&NG in a grand function organized at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi and the Hon’ble Minister gave away the awards which included Japan visit for children, laptops & cash prizes.

This year, through its ongoing ‘Saksham National Competition- 2017’, PCRA plans to expand its reach on a much larger scale amongst students and schools of all education boards, with a target of reaching over one crore children. There are thousands of prizes, worth over Rs.1.6 crore, in the form of Singapore trip, laptops, tablets, cash prizes, gift vouchers, certificates etc. The competition is supported by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and all Public Sector Oil Companies. There is unbridled excitement building up in the student fraternity across schools in the country to compete, vie for the coveted prizes and
win recognition at Saksham National level competition.

This is a golden opportunity for millions of young budding students to test their caliber, bag the coveted prizes, certificates and an all-expenses paid educational foreign trip. The competition also provides a great opportunity to the schools to encourage students to participate in this National competition contributing to the noble cause of spreading the message of fuel conservation. PCRA invites and appeals to all the schools and students to participate in this prestigious competition– “Come, Be A Part of the National cause!!!
