In a powerful stride toward building India’s digital future, NBCC (India) Limited, the country’s premier construction and project management giant, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) for construction of Data Centre along with Residential and Non- Residential Buildings in their existing 40-acre campus in Mehrauli, New Delhi that promises to be nothing short of iconic. The project will be executed at an estimated cost of Rs 220 crore approximately. The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay, CEO (C-DOT) and Shri Pradeep Sharma, ED (BD), NBCC (India) Ltd.

The sprawling campus will be a magnificent ecosystem of technology, sustainability and innovation, with a built-up area of about 53,000 square meters. Designed to spark inspiration and embody India’s technological prowess, the upcoming infrastructure will house a high-performance Data Centre and NOC Block, striking Technical Towers, a world-class Training Centre with integrated hostel facilities, staff housing infused with social amenities, a recreation zone and a smart reception and security node.

As part of this high-stakes collaboration, NBCC will spearhead the project as Project Management Consultant which shall include areas from master planning and design to execution, supervision, obtaining statutory approvals etc. NBCC was selected as PMC after a competitive bidding and negotiation process. The entire project is targeted to be completed in 36 months subject to receiving of necessary approvals and clearances.

What sets this partnership apart is not just the scale, but the intent. The architectural language of the Technical Block and Data Centre is envisioned to become a signature skyline element, potentially featuring the C-DOT logo atop the structure a beacon of India’s digital dreams. The design will allow for future vertical expansion and explore dynamic connections, including a skywalk to seamlessly link with the existing facilities. Green features and intelligent layouts will bring together form and function in a way that embodies India’s aspirations in the era of Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.

This mega development is more than a construction project it is the birth of a new innovation sanctuary, a blend of vision, engineering excellence and national purpose. With NBCC’s unmatched track record and C-DOT’s legacy of pioneering technologies, this project is poised to set a new benchmark in institutional infrastructure.
