Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that misinformation is being carried on the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill. The PM informed that India is moving towards sealing of Indo-Bangladesh border.
Assam and other states of Northeast India is witnessing massive protest ever since the bill was passed in Lok Sabha last month. Modi while addressing a rally in Changsari in Guwahati said, “We are committed to protect the sovereignty of Assam. Illegal immigrants have no place in India. We are moving ahead with the sealing of Indo-Bangladesh border. We have taken initiative to expedite work of Supreme court monitored National of Register of Citizens (NRC).”
