The makers of Mirzapur: The Movie have heightened excitement among fans by unveiling the first-look posters of three of the franchise’s most iconic characters—Guddu Pandit, Munna Tripathi, and Kaleen Bhaiya—ahead of the film’s official trailer launch.
Production house Excel Movies released the posters on Wednesday, giving audiences a glimpse of what to expect from the highly anticipated big-screen adaptation of the hit crime drama series. The film’s trailer is scheduled to be released on June 26 at 12 PM.
Ali Fazal returns as Guddu Pandit, one of the central figures in the Mirzapur universe. His poster features an intense look, with the character holding an assault rifle, reflecting the ruthless and powerful persona that fans have come to associate with him. The poster is accompanied by the line, “Shuru majboori mein kiye the, ab maja aa raha hai,” hinting at Guddu’s continued rise in the power struggle.
Another major surprise is the return of Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi. The character was believed to be dead after being shot during the dramatic climax of Mirzapur Season 2. His reappearance has sparked speculation among fans about how the film will bring him back into the story.
The third poster showcases Pankaj Tripathi as the feared mafia boss Kaleen Bhaiya. Dressed in traditional attire with a red tilak on his forehead, the character’s stern expression reinforces his commanding presence in the criminal underworld of Mirzapur.
Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, who also helmed the web series, Mirzapur: The Movie will feature returning cast members including Shweta Tripathi as Golu Gupta. The film will also introduce Jitendra Kumar as Bablu Pandit, a character originally portrayed by Vikrant Massey.
Since its debut in 2018, Mirzapur has become one of India’s most popular streaming franchises, and the upcoming film is expected to expand its gritty and action-packed universe.
