The kitchen budget has deteriorated due to inflation around the world, meanwhile, the ban on rice exports by India for the last few days has caused a stir in the world. Over the past week, India imposed more restrictions on boiled and basmati rice, pushing rice prices in Asia to a 15-year high on Wednesday. The ban on some other grains, including rice, began on July 20, leading to a ban on the export of several rice varieties, followed by Thailand and Vietnam. Like the country.

What worries the world about rice?

Peter Timmer, professor emeritus at Harvard University, said rising rice prices often hurt poor consumers the most, adding that the biggest concern right now is that if Thailand and Vietnam impose the same restrictions as India, the price of rice worldwide could exceed $ 1,000, the Economic Times reported.

What is the price of rice now??

The benchmark price of rice in the global market is currently $ 646 per tonne and due to less rainfall, the price of rice may increase further.

Why Did India Impose A Ban?

Talking about India, the price of rice in the country is being sold at a slightly higher price than last year, the price of one kg of rice in New Delhi is Rs 39, in such a situation, the duty on exports has been either increased or banned due to the rising price of rice.
