HPCL’s IS Department has been conferred with the prestigious “IT Innovation and Excellence Awards (2017)” under “Best Government Organization implementing Information Security” Category. The Award was received by HPCL at CSI-IT2020 Annual Technology Conference organized by Computer Society of India (CSI), Mumbai Chapter.
The Award aims at recognizing Government Organisations who have successfully deployed and implemented an InfoSec project or initiative. Government Organisations who have successfully initiated best InfoSec practices i.e. to identify gaps/risks & implement security measures to mitigate the risk and successful outcome. There were about 100+ nominations received overall by CSI and about 10+ in each of the categories. Other contenders for this category include reputed organisations such as SBI, BHEL, etc.
