Civil Supplies Minister Kishan Kapoor said the state government was committed to providing ration to people on time and bringing transparency in the public distribution system(PDS) in the state, here on Tuesday. Kishan Kapoor was addressing a review meeting of the district Civil Supplies Officers and members of PDS depots. He said the officers should make regular inspections of food and supply depots in the districts to check hoarding of stock by the depot holders. He said the department had launched the EPDSP app to make the distribution of commodities more effective. He said the officers and depots were connected to the app so that information pertaining to the stock availability and supply could be prompt. He directed the depot holders to pick up the stock from the department on time to provide ration to the consumers on time. He said vehicles of the state civil supplies corporation would be connected to the GPS to keep a track on their movements.
