Kavinder Gupta recently interacted with a youth delegation from Puducherry at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh as part of the Yuva Sangam Phase VI programme under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative.

The delegation, led by National Institute of Technology Puducherry, is currently on an educational and cultural exposure visit to Himachal Pradesh. The programme aims to strengthen cultural understanding, emotional bonding, and national integration among youth from different regions of India.

An inaugural event was organised at the university in the presence of Chancellor Prof. Harmohinder Bedi and Vice Chancellor Prof. Sat Prakash Bansal. During his interaction with the students, Governor Kavinder Gupta welcomed the delegates and praised the vision behind Yuva Sangam. He highlighted the importance of youth engagement and cultural exchange in promoting the spirit of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.”

The Governor encouraged participants to actively engage with the people, traditions, and developmental initiatives of Himachal Pradesh during their visit. He noted that such programmes help young people better understand the country’s diversity while building stronger connections across states and Union Territories.

The exposure visit includes academic interactions, institutional visits, and cultural programmes designed to give participants first-hand experience of Himachal Pradesh’s heritage, educational ecosystem, traditions, and local way of life. Students from Puducherry will also share their own cultural experiences and academic perspectives during the exchange.

Launched by the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education, Yuva Sangam Phase VI brings together participants from 22 paired States and Union Territories. The initiative focuses on tourism, traditions, development, technology, and people-to-people connections to strengthen national unity through experiential learning.
