The CBI on Tuesday arrested five people, including GAIL executive director KB Singh. The CBI caught him taking a bribe of Rs 50 lakh in Delhi. Apart from this, Surendra Kumar, director of Advanced Infrastructure of Vadodara, and the bribe giver have also been arrested. These things have come to light from sources. Apart from Singh, four others have also been arrested.

News agency PTI quoted officials as saying that the bribe was taken to benefit some contractors in gas pipeline projects. Searches are being conducted at multiple locations in Delhi, Noida and Visakhapatnam, they said.

    Know what the allegation is?

It is alleged that the bribe was paid to benefit a company in two GAIL pipeline projects (Srikakulam to Angul and Vijaypur to Auraiya). The action was taken after the CBI received information about the bribe being taken, they said.

KB Singh is accused of giving a gas project to a private company. Late on Monday night, the CBI raided the house of KB Singh located in Sector-72 of Noida. The CBI is scanning his mobile phones, electronic gadgets and bank accounts. At the moment, the raids are still going on. In this case, raids are going on in many places including Delhi, Noida and Visakhapatnam.

It is worth noting that GAIL (Gas Authority of India Limited) is a Maharatna company under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. GAIL was established in 1984 and is headquartered in New Delhi. It is working on many projects in India as well as abroad.

GAIL was established by the Central Government in 1984 as a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. It was incorporated to set up gas supply infrastructure in the country. This company was created not only to run the business and generate profit, but also to fulfill his duties as a responsible corporate citizen.

It is the largest government-owned natural gas processing and distribution company in the country. It is headquartered in New Delhi. Its main work is natural gas, liquid hydrocarbons, liquefied petroleum gas transmission, petrochemical, city gas distribution, exploration and production, gaeltail and power generation.

Gail did not issue any statement

In this case, Jyoti Prakash, head of GAIL’s media, says that GAIL will cooperate with the CBI in this matter. This is a wrong act and whatever the statement of the head of GAIL will come in this matter, it will be told to the media.
