Effects Of Dharmendra Pradhan Factor In Skill Development

There is no denying the fact that Dharmendra Pradhan is doing a tremendous job when it comes to formulating and implementing skill development policies. Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan has urged global companies of repute in refining and petrochemicals technologies to collaborate with premier technical institutes of Odisha and other parts of the country. This will not only provide special training to youths of the country but also increase their employability.

Interestingly, Dharmendra Pradhan has earned a coveted reputation in Modi cabinet of being the best executioners and implementer of government schemes on the ground, involving common public. His impeccable implementation of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), where more than 3 crore LPG connections have been distributed to BPL households across the country, was quite instrumental in grabbing votes and winning crucial elections for BJP in UP, Uttarakhand, Himanchal etc.

Insiders informs that this has actually brought Dharmendra Pradhan to very close to both PM and Party president Amit Shan and was elevated to cabinet rank in the last reshuffle, and PM Modi has handed over Ministry of Skill development and Entrepreneurship, a project that is quite close to PM’s heart, to him so that it can take off and implemented in the same manner as PMUY was executed.

Sources informed GDP that during the last few months Pradhan has put his complete focus on the implementation of Skill Development schemes on the ground and getting immediate results. Minister had reviewed the performance of NSDC and instructed them to come with full-fledged plans to implement the Skill Development program on ground during next 1 year on war footing. Importantly there are various complaints regarding the poor implementation of schemes in the skill centers opened across the country during last 4-5 years and minister is working night and day to anyhow resolve these crucial issue. It will now be quite interesting to see whether Pradhan would be able to turnaround Skill development program, as he did in the matter of PMUY and Pahal in the petroleum ministry.
