    Directorate Of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) To Celebrate 67th Foundation Day On 4th December 2024

    The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) will celebrate its 67th Foundation Day on 4th December, 2024, in New Delhi. The senior representatives from Indian law enforcement Agencies and senior officials of the CBIC shall also be present during the celebration.

    The annual ‘Smuggling in India – Report 2023-24’ report, which highlights DRI’s performance and experience over the last financial year as well as trends in the field of anti-smuggling and commercial fraud, will be released during the celebration.

    Additionally, DRI has been at the forefront of bilateral and multilateral customs cooperation through Customs Mutual Assistance Agreements (CMAA) with other nations, which emphasise information sharing and learning the best practices from other customs administrations’ in the prevention and investigation of customs offenses.

    Accordingly, on the sidelines of the founding day celebration, DRI will also organise Regional Customs Enforcement Meeting (RCEM) for effectively engaging with partner Customs organisations and International agencies like UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), International Narcotics Control Bureau (INCB) and Regional Intelligence Liaison Office-Asia Pacific (RILO-AP) for enforcement related issues. The various representatives from these organisations will participate in the meeting.
