Digitisation of payment system would go a long way in checking corruption and exploitation of the poor by moneylenders, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said today.
With digitisation, the poor people would be able to get loan easily instead of approaching money-lenders, who often exploit them, Pradhan said while inaugurating the 2nd Digi-Dhan Mela of Odisha.
The government was also promoting Aadhaar Enabled Payment System in the country to promote digitisation of financial services among the general public, he said.
