Dharmendra Pradhan Meets Family of Gape Rape Victim In Odisha

By Aruna Sharma on January 6, 2019 ENTERTAINMENT, Media Monitoring, National

Dharmendra Pradhan today met with the mother & family members of gang rape victim Bebina in Odisha. He conveyed the message of PM Narendra Modi at her house in Pipili. Minister while talking to media said, “the family is insecure and lives under constant threat from the accused persons, who are protected by the ruling party”.

Union Petroleum Minister also appealed the Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Parnaik to provide security to the family members. The family has raised serious allegations against the shoddy inquiry and the administration.

Victim brother informed Pradhan that the Crime Branch did not accept the blood stained clothes of his gang-raped sister as evidence. They later submitted it before the judicial commission.

Pradhan asserted that if the Crime Branch had conducted the inquiry in the right direction, Bebina would have got justice. He said,”her mother & father were inconsolable & could not stop their tears. Her brother is afraid & worried. An Insensitive Govt. misguided the investigation.”

Importantly Prime Minister Narendra Modi had raised the issue for the interest of the dalit family. Bebina should get justice and the case should be re investigated. Her mother is demanding a CBI inquiry. “If Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has respect for women he should handover the case to CBI and apologise to the women of Odisha. The 4.5cr Odias are with victims family,” quipped Pradhan.
