The confrontation between the government and Congress Legislature Party (CLP) continued for the second day of the budget session today as the Congress accused the Chief Minister of trying to threaten the opposition which Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur denied. The moment the house assembled, CLP leader Mukesh Agnihotri said his party members respect the Chief Minister’s post but the manner in which the CM threatened the opposition, it was unfortunate. “From his statement in the media today, it appears that the CM is not keen that the house should run smoothly.

The Congress will not be cowed down by any such threats,” he said. The Chief Minister said it was unfortunate that the Congress had made a wrong beginning on the opening day of the session itself which has hurt him very much. “From my side I am very clear that neither have we made any irresponsible statement nor done anything wrong either during the winter session or during budget session,” he said.
