    Up CM Yogi Adityanath announces free rides on UP roadways and city buses

    Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a gift of free bus travel to the mothers and sisters of the state on Raksha Bandhan. He has ordered free travel for women in UP Roadways and city buses across the state from 12 midnight of August 29 to 12 midnight of August 31. Orders in this regard have been issued by the Transport Corporation and the Directorate of Urban Transport.

    The Chief Minister has also extended his best wishes to the mother power on the occasion of Raksha bandhan, the sacred symbol of brother-sister affection. In an order issued on Monday by Principal Secretary Transport L. Venkateshwar Lu, it has been said that like previous years, this year too, free travel facility will be provided to women in all the buses of the Transport Corporation from 12 midnight of August 29 to 12 midnight of August 31 on the occasion of Rakshabandhan festival.

    The Directorate of Urban Transport has also directed that urban buses being operated through SPV in major cities of the state (Lucknow, Kanpur, Meerut, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Moradabad, Jhansi, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Shahjahanpur, Agra and Mathura-Vrindavan) will be operated from 12 pm on August 29 to 31 am on the occasion of Rakshabandhan festival.Free travel facility will be made available for women till 12 o’clock in the night of August.
