National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is concerned to learn that baseless allegations made by a disgruntled former employee of the Corporation have recently been carried in a news portal. The allegations seem to be raised with the sole intent to malign individuals and widely-respected Organization with a record of best HR practices and excellent corporate governance.
We wish to clarify that the individual concerned faced serious charges of negligence which caused serious concern to the senior management at NSDC. Unwilling to accept professional advice, the employee of his own volition chose to resign.
NSDC is committed to delivering on its mandate to drive the nation’s ‘Skill India’ mission. In order to meet the target set, we periodically review projects, and employee performance as part of an institutionalized monitoring process to bring about necessary enhancements in delivery and outcomes. We emphasize that
employees dissatisfied with this process have opportunities for redressal within the system. It is unfortunate none of these were availed of. We also wish that the news portal had sought and waited for our responses/clarification before rushing to disseminate an unverified allegation.
