(TH) Indian Oil Corporation Ltd has signed a tolling agreement with Dhamra LNG Terminal Pvt Ltd (DLTPL) for booking 3 million tonne per annum (mtpa) of regassification capacity at the latter’s 5 mtpa LNG terminal. The terminal is coming up at Dhamra Port in Odisha. “The LNG terminal at Dhamra would meet the gas requirements of three refineries of IndianOil in Barauni, Haldia and Paradip. “The project will also enable supply of gas to the seven towns of Varanasi, Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack,” an IOC statement said.

(LiveMint) The Union government has shelved a plan to expand the social security net for nearly six million organized sector employees in a bid to ease the burden on the government exchequer. The labour ministry has decided not to act on a proposal approved by the central board of Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) to increase the salary threshold from up to Rs 15,000 to Rs 21,000 per month to bring more workers under mandatory EPF coverage and give them PF and pension benefits. (PTI) The proposed bullet train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai will be made fully operational by 2023, Railway Board Chairman Ashwani Lohani said today. Some sections of the high speed, 500-km route will, however, become operational in 2022 itself, he said. “Bullet train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai will be made fully operational by 2023, while it will be made operational on some sections in 2022.
