(PTI) State-run Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) has been given green nod for setting up a second-generation ethanol plant in Odisha that would entail an investment of Rs 7.47 billion, according to a senior government official. The ethanol bio-refinery with a capacity of 100 kilo litre per day (KLPD) will be set up at Baulsingha village in Bargarh disrict in an area of 58.44 acres. (LiveMint) IFCI Ltd, the oldest development finance institution in the country, has invited bids from investment banks to help with the sale of its 4% equity stake in the Clearing Corp. of India Ltd (CCIL), documents on IFCI’s website showed. The move is part of the lender’s efforts to clean up its balance sheet, which recorded gross non-performing assets of 40.9% as of 31 March 2018. (ET) Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC), and not the government, is the promoter of Hindustan Petroleum Corp, Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has clarified following confusion over who the real promoter of the state-run refiner was.
