IDBI Bank has started valuing its assets before making a preferential issue of shares to LIC, which is set to acquire a majority stake in the lender. (PTI) Leading wind turbine maker SuzlonNSE -4.43 % is looking to capture about 30 per cent of the 20,000 megawatt (MW) of wind capacity likely to be commissioned by financial year 2020-21, a senior company executive said. According to industry estimates, with the thumb rule of Rs 6.5 crore per MW, the 30 per cent share translates into revenues of around Rs 39,000 crore. (DC) The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is gearing up to float a tender for commencing the long-pending 262-km of Chennai-Bengaluru Green Expressway. Officials said that even as they suffered a lot in acquiring lands earlier, they completed 95 per cent of land acquisition. The works are supposed to have started last March. In order to cut the travel time from Chennai to Bengaluru by at least three hours, the Union Surface Ministry proposed this six-lane project in 2011 and in this expressway, vehicles can go up to 120 kmph. (PTI) As many as 21 public sector banks and three major private sector lenders collected a whopping Rs 5,000 crore from customers for non-maintenance of minimum balance in their accounts in 2017-18, according to banking data. India’s largest lender State Bank of India, which suffered a staggering net loss of Rs 6,547 crore during 2017-18, led the pack in penalising its customers for not maintaining minimum account balance. The government-owned SBI, which re-introduced the penalty on deposits going below monthly average balance basis from April 2017, collected nearly half the amount raised by the 24 banks put together (Rs 4,989.55 crore).…
