(HT) Starting July 1, petrol pumps in Delhi will stop refuelling diesel vehicles older than 10 years and petrol/CNG vehicles older than 15 years, as per the new directive by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM). The Delhi government has issued standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enforce the move. Fuel stations must display notices, train staff to identify end-of-life vehicles (ELVs), and log all denied transactions. These logs must be submitted weekly to the transport department.
