(PTI) Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday said the government is open to further reforms for making India a more attractive investment destination. The government has taken various steps, including reduction of corporate tax, she said at India-Sweden Business Summit here. “I only can invite and assure that the Government of India is committed for further reforms in various sectors whether it is banking, mining or insurance and so on,” she said.She invited Swedish firms to invest in infrastructure development projects.India plans to invest about Rs 100 lakh crore in infrastructure sector in the next five years.

None of companies, authorised to sell FASTags, has approached the State Transport Department for the opening of the sale counter to facilitate the applicants, officials said. (Tribune) NASA’s Moon-orbiting spacecraft has found the debris of Chandrayaan 2’s lander Vikram on the surface of the Moon, the US space agency confirmed on Tuesday, nearly three months after India’s ambitious mission made a hard landing near the uncharted lunar south pole. On September 7, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) attempted a soft landing of Vikram on the Moon. (ET) Coal India managed to increase coal production 27% month-on-month in November at 50 million tonnes. “The company managed to produce nearly 11 million tonnes more coal than in October. (ET) The petroleum ministry has asked oil marketing companies Bharat Petroleum and Indian Oil to recover Rs 108 crore from its employees after the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) found that these companies had given pre-loaded cards and vouchers to them on completion of 15, 20 and 25 years of service in violation of rules. The pre-loaded cards and vouchers were issued in place of gold coins distributed earlier, which was stopped in 2015 after the ministry said these were over and above the entitlement of bonus and thus in violation of government rules. “The expenditure of Rs 107.63 crore incurred…
