(LiveMint) Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has offered the shareholders of its subsidiary and unlisted unit Reliance Retail to swap their units with RIL shares. As per the proposed arrangement, Reliance Retail shareholders will get one share of RIL against four Reliance Retail shares. Reliance Retail shares are not listed on any stock exchanges. “The company had implemented two schemes namely Reliance Retail Employees’ Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2006 and 2007 under which Restricted Stock Units (“RSUs”) have been allotted to eligible employees. (PTI) State-owned power giant NTPC is planning to add 10GW of solar energy generation capacity by 2022, which entails an investment of around Rs 50,000 crore, to be funded mainly by green bonds, a source has said. At present, NTPC has installed renewable energy capacity of 920 MW, which includes mainly solar energy. It has formulated a long term plan to become a 130 GW company by 2032 with 30 per cent non-fossil fuel or renewable energy capacity. “The company will complete tendering of 2,300 MW of solar energy capacity by the end of this fiscal. (ET) State-run Coal India Ltd (CIL) has started buying surplus output from a captive mine of an Odisha government entity for augmenting supplies to its own customers, a deal that will help reduce imports by raising availability of the indigenous fuel and open a new revenue-earning window for coal-bearing states. CIL subsidiary Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) has started lifting 6,000 tonnes of coal daily from the Manoharpur mine in Jharsuguda district allotted to Odisha Coal and Power Ltd (OCPL).
