It has come to the notice of the Ministry of Steel that several companies are repeatedly submitting applications for the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the import of steel, even after their initial applications have been rejected. Applicants are hereby informed that once an application for the import of steel under BIS Standards from a non-licensee is rejected by the Technical Committee of the Ministry, they may file an appeal before the Appellate Committee within three months of the rejection, if they are not satisfied with the decision.
