As per the MoU, NHPC will invest an estimated Rs. 4000 crores in the proposed project, situated at Chhota Udaipur, Gujarat. (TH) Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) executive director (Rajahmundry Asset) Amit Narayan said the corporation paid ₹2,000 crore as royalty and tax to the Andhra Pradesh government over the past five years. In 2023-24 alone, it paid ₹305.62 crore, including ₹133.34 crore in royalty, to the State government.
