Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has been implementing its flagship scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), since 2015 to impart skill development training through Short-Term Training (STT) and up-skilling and re-skilling through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to youth across the country. Under the PMKVY scheme, since its inception in 2015 till 31.12.2024 a total of 1,60,33,081 candidates have been trained/ oriented. (PTI) Jindal India Renewable Energy on Monday said it has secured a Letter of Acceptance for a 300 MW solar plus storage project from state-owned NHPC.The project is to be executed on a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis within 24 months from the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), the company said in a statement. (PTI) The Lok Sabha on Tuesday passed a bill to provide for the regulation of boilers, safety of life and property of persons from the danger of explosions of steam-boilers and uniformity in registration. The Boilers Bill, 2024, seeks to repeal the century-old Boilers Act, 1923.The bill was passed by the Rajya Sabha in December last year. Now it will be sent for assent of the President of India.
