Actor Akshay Kumar has made it clear that retirement is not on his agenda. Speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Welcome To The Jungle in Mumbai, the actor shared his humorous thoughts on life after retirement while also revealing his strong belief in staying active and working for as long as possible.
When asked whether he had considered retiring from films, Akshay responded with his trademark wit. He joked that if he ever retired, he would end up taking on household jobs such as being an electrician, a dog walker, or a gardener. According to him, it is better to continue working than sit idle at home.
The actor also laughed off the suggestion that retirement would allow him to spend more time with his family. He joked that after spending a day with them, they would probably ask him to return to work.
Despite the light-hearted remarks, Akshay shared a serious message about life and work. He said that he dislikes the word “retire” and believes that people should continue working for as long as they can. In his view, remaining active and productive is essential.
The event also featured the launch of the trailer for Welcome To The Jungle, a comedy-adventure film packed with a star-studded cast. The trailer introduces Akshay as a struggling actor attempting to revive his career after a series of unsuccessful films. However, a movie shoot in a border village takes an unexpected turn when locals mistake the film crew for real soldiers and seek their help against a dangerous gang led by Jackie Shroff.
The film promises a blend of action, adventure, and comedy, with the popular trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal sharing screen space once again. Directed as part of the popular Welcome franchise, Welcome To The Jungle is scheduled to hit theatres on June 26.
