The makers of Ramayana: Part One, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, have unveiled new posters featuring the film’s lead cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash and Ravi Dubey. Released on Saturday following a promotional event in Mumbai, the posters have received an enthusiastic response from fans on social media.
One of the posters features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, depicting the trio during their forest exile, or vanavas. Dressed in traditional ochre robes, the characters are seen standing together in the forest. Sharing the poster, the official World of Ramayana account wrote, “Together Always, in Dharma.”
Another poster showcases Yash as Ravana, standing against the backdrop of his golden kingdom of Lanka. Dressed in black and adorned with gold accessories, the actor’s portrayal presents the demon king in a striking appearance. The caption accompanying the poster read, “The ruler of all 3 worlds, Ravana,” followed by “Our Truth. Our History.”
The posters quickly attracted attention online, with several fans praising their visual presentation. Social media users described them as “phenomenal”, “magnificent” and “mind-blowing”, while others expressed excitement about the upcoming mythological epic.
The promotional event also witnessed the presence of popular American YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, widely known as MrBeast. During the event, he surprised the audience by chanting “Jai Shri Ram”. Ranbir Kapoor helped him repeat the chant after an audience member called it out. MrBeast also praised the film’s visuals, describing the experience as phenomenal.
Ramayana: Part One is scheduled to release during Diwali 2026. The film also features Arun Govil as King Dasharatha, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha.
Reportedly being made on a budget of approximately Rs 4,000 crore, the ambitious project has music contributions from Oscar-winning composers Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman. Visual effects are being handled by teams associated with DNEG and Prime Focus.
