The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Roche Products (India) Pvt. Ltd. to support DPIIT-recognized startups operating in critical therapeutic sectors, including oncology, neurology, ophthalmology, haematology, and rare diseases.
Under this strategic partnership, Roche India will provide:

The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Sumeet Jarangal, Director, DPIIT, and Smt. Rajwinder Mehdwan, Managing Director, Roche Products (India) Pvt. Ltd., in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.
Shri Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, emphasized the role of industry–startup collaboration in accelerating the adoption of disruptive health innovations. He noted that the partnership would also assist startups with regulatory guidance, intellectual property support, and alignment with global health standards. Key focus areas include:
