    Majestic Greenery From Maharashtra Adorns The Ram Janmabhoomi Complex

    Leading up to the consecration ceremony, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex is undergoing a divine transformation with the plantation of 7,500 saplings brought from Maharashtra.

    As the consecration program, scheduled for January 22, approaches, more than eight thousand visitors, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, are expected to be captivated by the lush greenery within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex.

    Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and the Uttar Pradesh Forest Department are collaborating to decorate the premises with seven and a half thousand pots containing various indigenous and foreign flowers. The burst of colors springing from these plants aims to captivate visitors within the temple courtyard, providing an experiential journey reminiscent of the Ramayana period.

    Campus adorned with over 7500 plants from Maharashtra

    In preparation for the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla on January 22, the entire complex is elaborate decorations. Alongside flower decorations, more than seven and a half thousand pots and plants have been brought in from Maharashtra, enhancing the premises. The fragrance of the trees and plants is poised to mesmerize visitors. The Forest Department, under the directives of Teerth Kshetra Trust and Chief Minister Yogi, is diligently undertaking preparations.

    Plants enhancing the grandeur of the campus

    The Ram Mandir premises are set to feature 56 species of plants, including Aglaonema Red-Lipstick, Pink, Alocasia Black Velvet-Cucullata, Philodendron Ring of Fire-Birkin, Xanadu, Red Congo, Pink Fire, Pink Princess, Dieffenbachia White, Homalomena Bronze, Caladium Mix, Malpighia Shriram, Dracana Mahatma, Cephalandra plant, Variegated plats, Loropetalum, Radarmachera, Dieffenbachia Bowmannii, Monstera Deliciosa, Peace Lily, and more.

    Nakshatra Vatika: Recreating the splendor of the Ramayana period

    Nakshatra Vatika, an integral part of the Janmabhoomi complex, stands out for its awe-inspiring beauty. With trees carefully selected to complement the greenery, Nakshatra Vatika is expected to elevate the beauty and ambiance of the place. The complex boasts 27 trees associated with 27 constellations, symbolizing the glory of the Ramayana period. To enhance the greenery of the entire courtyard in the Ram Mandir complex, special attention is given to the Nakshatra Vatika.

    Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has personally contributed to this effort by planting saplings in Nakshatra Vatika. Among the trees of the Ramayana period, Peepal, Pakad, Neem, Gutel, Mahua, Shisham, Khair, Palash, Bel, Maulishree, Shami, Kadamba, Mango, Arjun, Gular, Sal, Banyan, Amla, Pine etc. have been planted. They are also related to the constellations.

    Enhancing the garden with ‘Doob grass’

    DFO Sitanshu Pandey highlighted the completion of Nakshatra Vatika and its ongoing enhancements. Due to interference from monkeys, Selection Grade-1 grass and Doob grass are being added to the soil. Special attention is being given to ensure a distinct appearance for Nakshatra Vatika within the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, with the installation of iron tree guards to protect the plants.
