After the meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi told reporters in Parliament House complex, “Many bills and issues related to national interest are pending for discussion in front of the House. “The government does not want to pass any bill without discussion and wants to discuss every issue in a systematic and constructive manner.’
“I once again appeal to the opposition to cooperate in running the House. “We are ready to discuss the issue of Manipur whenever the Lok Sabha Speaker decides and if he decides to hold a discussion tomorrow, we are still ready. He said the Home Minister (Amit Shah) will give a detailed reply after the discussion.
In response to a question, he said that, MPs from Rajasthan are also demanding a discussion on whether atrocities on women or atrocities on Dalits are there and it is for the Lok Sabha Speaker to decide.

Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, who was also present at the meeting, told reporters, “I want to remind that when home minister Amit Shah ji called a meeting on the issue of Manipur and after that when an all-party meeting of leaders of the house of political parties was held, there was no issue related to the Prime Minister in all those meetings. He said that in the all-party meeting of the leaders of the House, they (opposition) had demanded an immediate discussion and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who was chairing the meeting, immediately accepted the request.
