Trump Weighs Fresh Strikes On Iran Amid Failed Talks

Donald Trump is reportedly considering fresh military strikes against Iran as diplomatic efforts to ease tensions continue to struggle. According to reports, Trump held a high-level national security meeting at the White House  to discuss the ongoing conflict and possible next steps if negotiations fail to deliver a breakthrough.

The meeting included senior officials such as Vice President J. D. Vance, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. Sources cited in reports claimed Trump is increasingly frustrated with the slow pace of negotiations and is leaning toward stronger military action.

At the same time, Asim Munir visited Tehran as part of a diplomatic effort involving Qatar to help broker a possible agreement. Munir is expected to meet senior Iranian military leadership, including Revolutionary Guard commander Ahmad Vahidi.

Speaking at a White House event, Trump said Iran was eager to reach a deal but repeated his firm stance against Tehran developing nuclear weapons. “Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon,” he stated.

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said there had been “slight progress” in talks during meetings in Sweden but warned that negotiations remained difficult.

Reports also claimed Trump cancelled personal weekend plans, including attending his son’s wedding, choosing instead to remain in Washington as discussions over Iran intensify. Sources suggest the president is considering a final “decisive” military operation if diplomacy collapses.
