After successfully constructing a 22 Seater toilet block at Bharat Nagar, HPCL has now inaugurated a public playground for its residents. This has been done by transforming a nearby ground previously used for open defecation into a kids play area, with rest area for senior citizens and provision of a stage for common community functions .

The Public Playground spread over an area of 16000 sqft. has facilities such as a jogging track , play equipments , central playground , 600 sqft. raised pandal, benches etc . This facility was inaugurated during the Swachhta Pakhwada drive on 18th July, 2017 at the hands of Shri Tuka Ram Kate (Hon. MLA) in presence of Ms Sonal Desai (ED-Finance), Shri Abhishek Datta (CGM-HR), local Corporator, Bharatnagar residents &  BMC representatives. Hon’ble MLA Shri Tuka Ram Kate addressed the gathering  for its proper maintenance while thanking HPCL for this  noble cause.

HPCL’s continuous efforts for putting up facilities in place to make the surroundings defecation free will go a long way in fulfilling the clarion call made by Govt. under “Swacchata Abhiyaan”.
