(FE) In its maiden attempt to raise funds from overseas, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will raise Rs 5,000-10,000 crore via rupee-denominated (masala) bonds sold in offshore market in the current fiscal year. (ET) Oil-to-telecom heavyweight Reliance Industries (RIL) on Monday reported 11.54 per cent year-on-year (YoY) jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 8,053 crore for the March quarter. The oil major had reported a net profit of Rs 7,220 crore in the March quarter of last year. Standalone profit came in at Rs 8,151 crore (up 12.78 per cent YoY), compared with ET Now poll of Rs 8,021 crore. (ET) Sudan has denied India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation an extension of licence to operate an oil block after the initial contract expired in November 2016. ONGC Videsh, the overseas arm of the state-run firm, had a 25 per cent interest in the 2B block of Sudan and its share in the block’s output was 7,000-8,000 barrels a day.
