(FE) India’s manufacturing policy will soon be overhauled with the objective of creating more jobs in an environment where technology is rapidly replacing labour, commerce & industry minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Tuesday.“If some high-end jobs are going to be displaced in the wake of Industry 4.0, the new policy must address how to redeploy such workers elsewhere,” Sitharaman observed. (KR) Around 2.78 lakh LPG connections have been issued to women beneficiaries in Jammu and Kashmir under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) which has resulted in increasing LPG Coverage in the State to 85.20%. (PTI) Government decision to revise retail fuel prices daily is likely to result in improvement marketing margins for oil companies leading to better profitability, says a report.  In a report, India Ratings today said the move, effective May 1 in select cities, is another positive structural change in the downstream sector after petrol price deregulation in 2010, diesel de-regulation in 2014, direct benefit transfer for LPG, give-it-up scheme for LPG,lowering PDS kerosene allocation and gradual hike in its prices. (IANS) After increasing the LPG coverage by oil marketing companies (OMCs) to 72.84 per cent in the last fiscal, the Petroleum Ministry plans to increase it to over 82 per cent by the current fiscal’s end and over 95 per cent by 2018-19, an official said on Monday. “The all India LPG coverage by OMCs in the country has risen sharply, contributed mainly by Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY).
