(Tribune) Uttarakhand Department of Tourism will organise International Yoga Festival in March in Rishikesh, Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said on Monday.While addressing a press conference today, Maharaj said that the festival will bring together practitioners of yoga from all across the world. “The annual yoga festival will be held from March 1 to March 7 that will attract national and international tourists. We will also commemorate the 50 the anniversary of Beatles arrival in Rishikesh during this period,” he said. (PTI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Switzerland on January 22 on a two-day visit during which he will deliver the keynote address at the plenary session of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. This will be the first participation by an Indian prime minister in the WEF in over two decades. (LiveMint) The government will tomorrow begin sale of 1.5% stake in NMDC at a floor price of Rs153.50 apiece, with an option to retain over-subscription of equal quantum. The two-day offer for sale (OFS) will open for institutional investors on Tuesday and for retail investors on Wednesday. Sale of 1.5% would fetch Rs750 crore to the exchequer, a person familiar with the matter said. The decision was taken at a board meeting held on Monday while revised prices would be effective from Tuesday.  It will make power generation costlier by a similar percentage. Cost of cement and fertiliser production is also expected to rise as a result. The revised prices would be applicable to all subsidiaries of Coal India including North Eastern Coal field North Eastern Coalfields.
