Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has launched a CSR project on Beekeeping to generate employment in Uttarakhand. The project is aimed at generating rural employment and promoting a sustainable ecosystem in and around the wilderness of Jim Corbett National Park. The first phase of the program will continue for 12 months involving around 40 families in five villages around the Jim Corbett National Park- Pawalgarh, Dhela, Amgadi, Kyari and Mankatpur. The tunnel will provide all weather connectivity between Srinagar, Kargil and Leh. Earlier, it had fixed a ceiling for floor prices. It was 20% for non-power consumers and 10% for power. “Subsidiaries have also been empowered to fix the periodicity of these e-auctions depending on market forces,” a senior Coal India executive told. (DNA) Payment of Gratuity (Amendment) Bill, 2017, which will make formal sector workers eligible for tax-free gratuity up to Rs 20 lakh, is likely to be introduced in the forthcoming budget session. According to a labour ministry source, the government wants to increase the limit of tax-free gratuity from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh for workers in the organised sector.
